Brand manager

Packaging state, colour accuracy and claims turn into brand decisions on a shoot day.

What this is about

Every frame with the product in it becomes an asset that outlives the campaign. A packaging redesign two months after the shoot turns a full library of footage into material with an expiry date nobody planned for.

Every department needs the same plan in a different view. That is exactly where document collections fail: they only ever serve one perspective well.

What runs differently here

In planning terms, that means:

  • Hero products need doubles: one for the light, one for the hands, one for the accident
  • The packaging version on the table on shoot day is the version the footage keeps
  • On-screen claims are read word by word by legal, and always after the shoot

What the plan has to deliver

A production plan is useful to this role when it provides the following:

  • Product samples on site in the current version and in more than one copy
  • Brand colour references usable both on set and in the grade
  • Claims and on-screen text cleared before they are filmed
  • One person with brand authority reachable on the shoot day

Common pitfalls

What most often goes wrong in practice:

  • Sending one single sample of a product that has to be handled on camera
  • Approving the brand look on a monitor nobody calibrated

With TillyGen

TillyGen keeps product, prop and approval requirements per scene inside the plan, so brand questions surface in prep instead of in front of the camera.

Change one constraint and the consequences travel through the whole plan: affected shots are flagged, the call sheet is regenerated, and nobody keeps working from yesterday's version.

Frequently asked

How many product samples does a shoot need?

More than one per hero shot. Products get fingerprinted, opened, poured and dropped, and a shoot that stops for a courier is paying crew to wait.

Who approves the brand look on set?

One person with actual authority, present or reachable, working from a colour reference rather than a set monitor. Two half-authorised opinions cost more time than either of them saves.

How long does product footage stay usable?

Until the packaging, the claim or the logo changes. If a relaunch is already in the pipeline, plan the shoot around it or accept a short shelf life knowingly.

How long does it take to get started with TillyGen?

A first project takes under an hour to set up. There is no configuration phase in which templates and fields have to be defined before the tool produces anything.

Can the results be exported?

Yes — as PDF for the crew, CSV for downstream systems and through the API for anything automated. The plan stays the source; the exports are views of it.
