Colour correction brings each shot to a technically correct and neutral starting point.
What this is about
The first pass has no creative ambition. A colourist sets black and white points, corrects a colour cast from mixed lighting, lifts an underexposed shot and checks that levels stay inside the broadcast range. Scopes decide here, not taste, because a monitor lies and an eye adapts within seconds. Only after every shot sits on a clean, neutral base does the creative stage make sense — a look applied to an unbalanced image amplifies the errors it inherits instead of hiding them.
A term only helps when everyone on set means the same thing by it — so what follows is how it is used, not a dictionary definition.

Is colour correction the same as grading?
No. Correction makes the image technically right and neutral; grading gives it a deliberate look afterwards. Skipping the correction makes the grade unpredictable.
How long does it take to get started with TillyGen?
A first project takes under an hour to set up. There is no configuration phase in which templates and fields have to be defined before the tool produces anything.
Can the results be exported?
Yes — as PDF for the crew, CSV for downstream systems and through the API for anything automated. The plan stays the source; the exports are views of it.
