What this is about

When a production books a rental house, a location or a freelance colourist, it does more than forward an invoice: it selects the supplier, negotiates, coordinates, pre-finances and stands behind the result. The markup prices that work. Clients accept it far more easily when it is visible than when it hides inside inflated third-party lines, because the hidden version looks like a discovered error the moment somebody compares a rental price list. Whether it is shown per line or as a single position at the bottom is a matter of style; both are defensible, silence is not.

A term only helps when everyone on set means the same thing by it — so what follows is how it is used, not a dictionary definition.

What runs differently here
