What this is about
Footage arrives in the grade carrying every lighting decision the set made. Matching two shots is routine; matching two hundred that were exposed three different ways is a scheduling problem that shows up as suite hours.
Every department needs the same plan in a different view. That is exactly where document collections fail: they only ever serve one perspective well.

- An exterior scene spread across a whole day drifts in color temperature from shot to shot

Why does a one-day shoot sometimes need several grading days?
Variance, not length. Mixed light sources, mixed cameras and drifting exteriors create matching work that has nothing to do with how long the shoot ran.
Should the set monitor with the final look?
With a viewing LUT close to it. A set that watches neutral and stylizes later discovers exposure mistakes only when they have become expensive.
What does a second camera model cost in the grade?
Matching work per scene, because sensors render color differently. That is plannable — but only when the camera decision is made before the shoot, not on it.
How long does it take to get started with TillyGen?
